【学术报告】应对气候变化: 从零排放到负排放

报告人简介:李海龙,2008年博士毕业于瑞典皇家理工学院,现任瑞典梅拉达伦大学教授,博士生导师,国际期刊《Applied Energy》副编辑(影响因子11.2),中国机械工程学报编委。研究领域主要包括先进能源系统及能源网络、碳捕集利用与封存、以及能源系统技术经济分析。领导并参与多项国内国际科研项目,包括欧盟地平线项目,瑞典能源局资助项目以及国家自然科学基金面上项目。发表学术论文100余篇,个人H-Index 62(谷歌学术)。自2012年以来一直担任国际应用能源会议(International Conference on Applied Energy, ICAE)主要组织者,并当选科学委员会成员和组委会主席。 

报告摘要:Climate change driven by human activities has become the biggest challenge facing our society today. To mitigate the climate change, CO2 capture and storage (CCS) is going to play a key role, which has the capability of reducing CO2 emissions at gigatonnes scale per year. Limiting global temperature rise to 1.5 °C would require a rapid escalation in the current scale and pace of emission reduction, particularly in the next decades. However, the deployment of CCS has been far too slow to meet the climate goals. Meanwhile, cutting CO2 emissions to zero may not be possible in some sectors such as agriculture and aviation. Therefore, the only approach to speed up emission reduction and balance the unavoidable emissions is to introduce negative emission technologies, which can remove CO2 directly from air. This talk will give an overview on the significance of CO2 capture and storage technologies, and focus on the latest development of the technologies including negative emission technologies.
